How To Make It In This Crazy World

  1. Seek God at all times.
  2. Live and decide as though the way you live and the decisions you make could affect a culture, a city, or a nation.
  3. Realize you have influence. You may have influence over a few or many but let your light shine. Use your influence for good and not for evil.
  4. Do not trust the media. There are always exceptions to this rule. If you know media-types who have proven themselves trustworthy, they are the exception. Too many in the media have stopped reporting news and are seeking to use their platform to sway people away from righteousness. Too many in television media are simply good teleprompter readers.
  5. Do not be ashamed of who you are. God made you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Do not let other people shape you or press you into their mold. Do not let someone guilt you into being someone you are not. Do not be ashamed that you know the Lord and you know the difference between right and wrong.
  6. Empathize with protestors but do not be taken in by them. People are hurting but many are weak and victims of influential people who want to harm rather than help. Talk to them, pray for them, empathize with them, but do not be drawn into their web. Read Psalm 1 if your need some help here.
  7. Do not believe someone said something unless you heard them say it in the full context of their statement. There is too much “He said – she said” going around these days. People will lie and stretch the truth if it helps them advance a narrative. If you are a truthful person, you will want to believe other people are being honest. However, too many are being dishonest for the expediency of their cause.
